Charitable Donations

The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group is the main recipient of the Order's Charitable donations. Provinces, individual Preceptories and members of the Order are all encouraged to support its vital work.

St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group is the only charitable provider of expert eye care in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.
In the occupied Palestinian territories (oPt), the rate of blindness is ten times higher than in the West and over a third of the population lack food security.

Their sight-saving work is carried out to the highest international standards, and is often delivered against very challenging and difficult odds.
Their flagship hospital is in Jerusalem, with satellite clinics in Gaza, Hebron and Anabta, and their mobile outreach team travels across the West Bank bringing eye care to isolated communities, ensuring that they have the greatest possible reach and impact.
